Germany as the State of Tourism

Germany increasingly popular as a country of tourism: With nearly 53 million foreign tourists lodging in the year 2006, the German Tourism Center (Deutsche Zentrale für Tourismus - DZT) recorded an increase of nearly ten percent. Among the most popular cities for international guests are Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Cologne. Most of the foreign tourists came from Europe, the United States and Asia. Generally state that they are visited Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg.

Guests who vacation in Germany, attracted by the historical-cultural and art objects, by a series of concerts, art exhibitions and theatrical performances of high quality, or by international sports events, street parties or the warm atmosphere of the Christmas market.
