The Lambousa Comedy Club at the Celebrity Hotel Complex in North Cyprus

A short drive along the coast to the west of Kyrenia is the ancient town of Lambousa. Known more commonly these days as Lapta, it is home to Chateau Lambousa – indoor venue for the Lambousa Comedy Club. Part of the Celebrity Hotel complex, Chateau Lambousa Comedy Club has developed a reputation in the past couple of years as a premier hotel and entertainment venue in North Cyprus. The hotel complex is owned by Gordon Kent and his family. Kent partnered with Mike Armstrong in 2007 to bring the Comedy Club idea to life – and it has been a roaring success to date, with top comedy acts drawing audiences from across North Cyprus, packing out the venue on each occasion.

Comedy nights are held regularly throughout the year, and are well publicized in advance of the event. Tickets for a standard comedy night are currently priced at £20 GBP each. This treats you to three top comedy acts, linked together by a hilarious compere. There is of course a bar at the venue – and you of course have access to the hotel complex’s restaurants should you wish to transform your evening into a dining experience also.
